Campus placement for students

Claim boundaries

  • >-
  • Indian students and employers disagree sharply on Day-1 readiness (HirePro 2026: 68% vs 9%).
  • Skills-first campus hiring is the employer narrative, but CGPA still shapes many final decisions (HirePro; Deloitte skill-first framing).
  • Mock interviews including virtual/AI-mediated are evidence-based prep; outcomes lean on prep before the sim—not proven placement rates (Wilkie & Rosendale 2024).
  • Skills-based hiring is heavily applied at interview/screen stages (NACE 2025).
  • Employers find curated evidence useful beside transcripts (AAC&U 2021); ProfilEd offers a practice footprint, not a badge wall.

Common questions

Will this get me placed?

No honest tool can promise that. ProfilEd helps you practise under follow-up and keep inspectable attempts. Placement depends on employers, timing, and many factors outside any prep product.

Can my TPO see my practice?

Only if you share a footprint slice. Defaults should stay conservative—practice is not an automatic employer or cell feed.

I’m a placement officer—wrong page?

Yes. Use /for/tpo for cohort scoping, sample review, and the focused pilot path.

Is finishing a company question bank enough?

Coverage helps until the first follow-up. The panel rewards spoken performance under pressure—rehearse that moment and keep a trail you can review.

For students

Company dumps get you a paragraph. The panel will interrupt you.

Campus placement season is a series of sittings: HR screens, technical rounds, HR again, sometimes a case. Notes and “top 50 questions” help until the first follow-up lands and your polished answer collapses. The failure mode is not ignorance of the topic. It is never having practised the interruption.

HirePro’s State of College Hiring in India 2026 puts a hard gap on the table: 68% of students believe they are Day-1 ready; only 9% of corporates agree (market context across 10,000+ students and 80+ corporates—not a ProfilEd outcome).

This page is for students. If you run a placement cell, go to /for/tpo.

Fit check

Who this helps — and what to skip this week.

No fake placement percentages—ours or anyone else’s brochure claims. Self-belief is not employer-visible readiness.

  • Students before a drive

You need spoken sittings under follow-up, not another finished question bank or a score screenshot with nowhere for a human to look.

  • Repeatable rehearsal between human mocks

Human mocks are gold and scarce. Fill the gaps with Socratic AI Interviews that leave a Shared Footprint you can reopen.

  • Wrong jobs this week

Company-pattern catalogues alone, chat prep desks instead of speaking, course completions as “ready,” or stealth live-interview copilots.

What you get

Concrete outcomes from practice that leaves a trail.

  • One role family or drive

Name what you actually care about—optional practise from a job description when that path is live—not every bank at once.

  • Socratic AI Interview out loud

You answer first. Adaptive follow-ups probe *your* stories under stated conditions—closer to a work-sample rehearsal than reading keys.

  • Shared Footprint you can reopen

Attempt, feedback used, what changed after probes, what is still missing—kept private or shared with a mentor if you choose.

  • Another sitting beats another PDF

Mock interviews are an evidence-based prep method when you prepare before the simulation (Wilkie & Rosendale, 2024)—perception about prep, not a hire-rate.

What the product does

Practise the sitting. Keep a Shared Footprint.

ProfilEd sits between content libraries and employer screens. Learners rehearse decisions under follow-up; you—or a mentor—review a selected Shared Footprint, including gaps.

Claim boundary: A ProfilEd activity is an observed attempt under stated conditions. It does not guarantee placement, certify competence, or predict workplace performance.

  • Aim before you sit

Pick one role family or drive. Prep concepts and stories lightly—research finds preparedness before the sim is a primary factor in whether students find mocks useful.

  • Answer first, then take probes

Socratic AI Interviews require learner action before AI. Speak out loud; survive the interruption instead of polishing a paragraph.

  • Review the attempt trail

Shared Footprint shows what you said, what changed after follow-ups, and a next move—not a vanity badge wall or a 10/10 screenshot alone.

  • Share only if you choose

Send a slice to a mentor, coach, or placement officer. Defaults stay conservative; practice is not an employer screening score.

Same-week path

Five moves before the drive—each one leaves something inspectable.

  • 1 · Name the target

Pick one role family or campus drive you actually care about. Optional: practise from a job description when that path is live. Output: a one-line aim you can defend out loud, not a 186-company checklist.

  • 2 · Prep lightly, then stop rewriting

Gather concepts and two or three stories—not a memorised script. Virtual-mock research finds preparedness before the simulation predicts whether students find the sitting useful. Draft once; then speak.

  • 3 · Sit a Socratic AI Interview

Launch the interview, answer first under stated conditions, and take adaptive follow-ups on your actual answers. Speak out loud. The point is surviving interruption, not collecting another polished paragraph.

  • 4 · Open Shared Footprint and name one gap

Review what you said, what changed after probes, and what is still missing. Write one next attempt in plain language. If a mentor will coach you, this trail is what they open—not a score screenshot alone.

  • 5 · Repeat or share a slice

Run another sitting on the weak spot before the drive. Optionally share a footprint slice with a mentor or placement officer—you choose. Another sitting beats another PDF dump.

Boundary

A ProfilEd activity is an observed attempt under stated conditions.

  • Attempt trail

Selected sitting, feedback used, revisions, and what remains unassessed—inspectable by you or a mentor you choose.

  • Market context only

HirePro figures on this page describe the hiring climate. They are not ProfilEd outcome claims.

  • Optional share

You control whether a placement officer or coach sees a slice. Practice evidence is not an employer screening score.

  • Not a placement stamp

Shared Footprint does not certify workplace competence or predict who gets hired. Humans interpret the trail—including gaps. We will not invent placement percentages for your résumé or ours.

What counts

Decide whether the week’s practice actually moved you.

  • Spoken follow-up under pressure

You answered, took probes, revised, and can point to what changed between attempt one and two.

  • Finished banks and chat polish

Company-pattern coverage, chat prep-desk drafts without a spoken sitting, or course completions labelled “ready.”

  • Stealth copilots and rate promises

Live employer-call overlays, fake placement %, and competence certificates sold as hire/no-hire stamps.

  • Would a mentor coach from this?

If your Shared Footprint only shows a score with no gap or next move, fix the sitting design before you claim readiness.
